The year 2020 was a massive one for all athletes worldwide. The prestigious quadrennial event, The Olympics Games, was scheduled for July this year. But the coronavirus pandemic has lead to the postponement of the Games. World Number ten Naomi Osaka was disappointed upon the cancelation of the event.

Osaka was looking forward to playing the esteemed event in front of her home crowd. Earlier, she had given up her American citizenship to represent Japan in the Tokyo Games.

“Like most athletes that had been training, I was disappointed at first. But, when you realize the postponement is for the better of the entire world, you know the game can wait. We will come together in 2021 and be ready,” she said.
