At the time, the Romanian said that she only had mild symptoms, and that she was recovering well. Now, she has taken to Twitter to announce that she has completely recovered.

After she announced the good news, the Romanian engaged in some friendly banter with her coach Darren Cahill. He asked her if they could begin training again, and Simona enthusiastically said yes. However, Cahill felt that she needed a break before doing so and Halep agreed with him.
