Amid the turmoil in the nation, Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian has stepped down as the board member of the Reddit.

His departure from the company simply remarks on an act of leadership. As it will be opening the doors for the black people in the USA. Post his resignation he has urged to fill his seat with a black candidate. 

“I will use future gains on my Reddit stock to serve the black community, chiefly to curb racial hate,” he announced. “I believe resignation can actually be an act of leadership from people in power right now. To everyone fighting to fix our broken nation.”

Ohanian gave up his post from the thriving firm for himself, his family, and for the betterment of his nation. He co-founded the social news aggregation website, wherein like-minded people come together to share their opinions.

Following his extraordinary act of kindness and support for the black community, his legendary tennis player wife Serena Williams tweeted his views on her husband’s generous move. “Having diverse views on any boards is important. So proud of you Alexis. I know Olympia will be too,” she tweeted.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion Williams being black has herself tackled the issues of racism every now and then on the professional tennis tour. And the present situation in the USA has wrenched Serena and she has no words to explain the miserable circumstance of her nation.
