American star Serena Williams has had an incredible career winning over 70 titles. However, she’s not the only one from her family to achieve so much. Her sister Venus has also done very well winning 49 titles and has served as her biggest inspiration.

In a recent interview at the Australian Open, Serena talked about this and said,
“She’s such an inspiration because she never gets frustrated about her situation health-wise. She is always looking on the bright side and then, she works so hard, and yeah, she has been great.”

“We were hitting partners for the first 2 weeks since we were here in Australia. It was so good to train with her and it was so good every day. It was also very inspiring cause she still pushes me on another level that no one was able to push me and so, it was incredibly helpful,” she added.

Venus and Serena Williams at the 2021 Australian Open
After a long quarantine, Serena and her sister Venus got off to excellent starts at the Australian Open. They both were able to beat their opponents in straight sets which were positive signs for the rest of the event.
Both the sisters have a lot to achieve at the Melbourne Slam this year. Venus is looking to win her first Major since 2008 while Serena is trying to win a record-equaling 24th Slam – a goal she has been chasing for quite a long time.

With a lot at stake, we can expect both players to play their best when they face off. As they both are in the same half, the Williams’ sisters have an opportunity to battle in the semi-finals. This would be their first meeting at a Slam since 2018 and the tennis world is surely looking forward to it.
