“The Answer is NO” – Venus Williams Hits Back At Marriage-Related Critics

Former World Number one Venus Williams has been active on social media since the pandemic started and the tour was put on hold. She regularly hosts LIVE Instagram work-out sessions with various tennis professionals. Recently she did with her brother-in-law Alexis Ohanian. 

Also, she’s equally engaged with her fans and she’s interacting with them to her fullest. 39-year-old Williams has been recently receiving marriage-related questions from her fan base. She cleared out the air with a straight-forward answer.

Venus isn’t married, in fact, last year, she split with her boyfriend Nicholas Hammond after dating him for two years. They were spotted together at Venus’ sister Serena Williams‘ wedding to Alexis Ohanian. Also, he was seen cheering for Venus during tournaments. Prior to Hammond, Venus was in a relationship with Elio Pis and Hank Kuehne.

“I get a lot of questions asking if I am married, am I getting married, or if I will marry you. The answer is NO to all of them,” Venus Williams posted on Instagram on Monday.

She also reminisced her first major victory at Wimbledon 2000. “Wimbledon 2000. I knew I would be the one. No one wanted it more that year or did what it took to win more than me. I just knew I would do it that year be losing wasn’t an option,” she said.

One of her fans popped-up with a question of her retirement from tennis. And World Number 67 Williams doesn’t seem to have any reason to stop playing tennis.

Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus will be active on Instagram on Tuesday, and she will be answering all the fan’s questions which she’ll receive.
