WATCH: Elina Svitolina Innovatively Quarantines With Gael Monfils at Australian Open 2021 Bubble

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 Australian Open had to implement strict measures. One of those measures was quarantine. For 2 weeks, players are to be confined in their rooms and can only train at specific hours. This is why Ukrainian star Elina Svitolina has been separated from her boyfriend Gael Monfils. To go around this, here’s what she is doing.

As you can see in the above post, Elina Svitolina has released a funny TikTok video of her in quarantine. She is doing all of her various activities like eating at the table, practicing, etc. However, she wants Monfils by her side, which is why she is doing everything with a picture of him on her laptop.

Gael would have surely loved to see Elina in this video and we can expect him to post a similar video of him in quarantine. Fans should definitely keep an eye out for that one.

Clearly, Elina Svitolina is finding creative ways of entertaining herself during the quarantine. However, her main focus is going to be on training as she is vying for her very first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

The Ukrainian star had a pretty good 2020 as she was able to win 2 titles after a title-drought of over a year. However, she did not perform too well at the Grand Slams. She definitely wants to change that in 2021.

If Elina does manage to win the 2021 Australian Open, she will become the first Ukrainian to ever win a Major title. This would be an amazing feat but it is not going to come easy. There are many players who could challenge her but hopefully, Svitolina will be able to overcome them.
