Former Women’s World Number 1, Caroline Wozniacki has officially got married to former NBA player David Lee. Lee is a former NBA All-Star and has played for the likes of the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks, before ending his career with the San Antonio Spurs.
The two athletes were married at the Castiglion del Bosco Hotel in Tuscany, Italy. Other notable fanes were Serena Williams as one of the bridesmaids, Angelique Kerber and NBA stars Pau Gasol and Harrison Barnes.
Previously, she was engaged to golfer Rory McIlroy before the engagement was called off. As it turned out, McIlroy was not ready to tie the knot just yet. Since then, McIlroy has married former PGA employee Erica Stoll in 2017, three years after calling off the engagement with Caroline Wozniacki.

The Danish tennis player reached the number 1 ranking back in 2010 and held onto it for 67 weeks. She ended the 2018 season as the number 3 seed, but has since slipped further. As of 20th May 2019, Caroline Wozniacki is ranked at number 13, following a miserable outing at the recently concluded French Open 2019, where she was stunned in the opening round.
Coming to David Lee, much like his fellow NBA players, he started his basketball career at the college level. At the time, he was playing for the Florida Gators from 2001 to 2005. He even helped the Gators win the SEC Mens’ Basketball Tournament in 2005.
In the same year, he was drafted into the New York Knicks and given the role of a starting forward. In 2006, he was inadvertently dragged into the New York Knicks vs Denver Nugget Brawl. Fortunately, he was innocent on all counts and escaped a suspension by the NBA officials.
An All-Star status came his way when he was selected to represent the East team. However, when David Lee moved to the Golden State Warriors, while he had a decent run of form, he began to pick up a few injuries. After 2015, David Lee shuttled in between teams until he retired in 2017.
