Who is Ajla Tomljanovic?
Ajla Tomljanovic, like Kyrgios is a professional tennis player. Born in Zagreb, Croatia on May 7, 1993, she chose to play tennis for Australia in 2014. She had obtained a permanent residence there at that time but she was still a Croatian citizen. Ajla later changed her nationality to Australian in 2018.
As a junior Ajla Tomljanovic won the 2009 Australian Open girls’ doubles title with Christina McHale. Tomljanovic started her professional career in an ITF Circuit event in October 2008 in Mexico City. She has since then won four singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Women’s Circuit.
Nick Kyrgios reportedly started dating Ajla Tomljanovic in 2015.
How the relationship ended?
They dated for two years and split up in 2017 when Kyrgios is known to have been spotted with two women in a London night club.
After the break-up, Kyrgios was still reported to have been interested in Tomljanovic. A friend close to the Kyrgios had then told Woman’s Day: “Nick would have done anything to make it up to Ajla. He doesn’t ever want to lose her again because she gets him. They’re pretty much the perfect match and he’s ready to settle down.”

Ajla Tomlajnovic was now known to be dating Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini. The rumours of the duo being together first came out when they were seen in a photo at the US Open 2019.
Later their relationship was confirmed and Berrettini also told why he was attracted to Ajla.
“First of all I liked her physically. I thought I was attracted by blondes; instead, I find myself with a brunette. Ajla has a good soul; I would even say pure, and that I had to find out step by step. Because of her education and culture, she was difficult to reach. And what I found struck me,” Berrettini told in an interview with an Italian newspaper as per tennis tonic.
