Fans witnessed some incredible tennis action in the 2021 season as the year comes to an end. The year saw some incredible stories like Novak Djokovic equalling the Grand Slam record held by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at 20 each; Emma Raducanu becoming the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam in only her second appearance at a Slam at the US Open. Moreover, players like Alexander Zverev and Ashleigh Barty enjoyed successful spells this season.

Alexander Zverev, Barty, Coco Gauff and other stars send their wishes

German tennis player Alexander Zverev won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and beat Djokovic, who was looking invincible in 2021. On the other hand, Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty won the Wimbledon Championships for the first time in her career.

There was plenty for them to be happy about and that is why they were content with the way things have gone for them this year. They were amongst the first players to send their wishes as the year ends. 

The 2021 Wimbledon champion stated, Reflecting on an adventure that gave us everything. 2021 was the toughest, most enjoyable, and most unpredictable year yet. Here’s to the laughter, the tears, the adversity, and undeniably, the best team in the world. I’m a very lucky girl.”
