Sports analyst Jason McIntyre argued that Matthew Stafford did not make All-Pro teams because he played at a time when the competition was immense. Richard Sherman replied sarcastically to the analyst, “I mean what’s the point of a Hall if Everyone cant get in right? Thank you for making my point.”
If Stafford did not make it to the top in his own time, why should he be standing aside all-time greats?
I mean whats the point of a Hall if Everyone cant get in right? 🤦🏾♂️ Thank you for making my point. https://t.co/HnmQbwpVxN

Freelance Reporter Dov Kleiman explained why McIntyre’s argument does not hold.
I disagree with the notion that someone should get credit for something he didn't do [MVP/All-Pro] due to the competition of his era
"If X played in a diff era he would've done this and that.." – but he didnt, he played in this era and he wasn't top 5 QB. Why should he be HOFer?

What is Stafford’s Stance?
As far as Matthew Stafford’s stance goes, he has not commented anything on the matter. His ex-teammate from the Detroit Lions days, Rob Sims, recalled that the last time they mentioned the HOF to Stafford, he downplayed it and said, “I gotta win the big one first.”
Well, now that he has won ‘the big one’ at the Super Bowl LVI, it’ll be interesting to note what he feels about his shot at the HOF. Even Kelly Stafford commented on the issue.

Kelly Stafford made a sensible argument for her husband. The ex-cheerleader said it is premature to talk about his HOF contention since he is still playing. She also argued that the community should let him have his big moment and not get caught up in the next achievement.
For the time being, Stafford is the reigning Super Bowl Champion. He is currently the quarterback of the best team in football, which is no mean feat. “Can y’all just let him enjoy this?,” she said on Instagram.
