This is the beginning of the gradual inclusion of a long line of elements from Black Ops Cold War into Warzone. But the M16 assault rifle is one exception. The recoil on this one is quite similar to that in BOCW. The weapon does not have much recoil to begin with, making it one of the more stable weapons in the game. Moreover, the gun features burst-fire mode only, further making it a stable choice.

Moreover, the weapon boasts of a capability to bag 2-3 hit kills in close to medium range (through armor). Even in longer-range gunfights, the M16 has proven to be quite effective. If you equip this with your choice of optic, the M16 becomes an all-rounder in terms of range.

Having said that, it has not been long since the integration of Call of Duty Black Ops COld War into Warzone took place, so it might be too soon to predict whether the M16 will dominate the meta. But we can safely say that it stands a good chance to do so.
