The combat manages to stay intriguing and rewarding for the duration of the game and the visuals leave you awe-struck. The game fills you up with courage and binds you to 13th century Japan. Unsurprisingly, it has found itself on the list of ‘Editors Choice‘, thanks to its stunning gameplay and visuals.

Ghost of Tsushima: A glimpse of Photorealism

The game takes you back to the Mongol invasion of Japan in the 13th Century. Sword combat is a very captivating chunk of the game but the grasslands, the forests, and scenic view make you lose yourself in this virtual world. You travel through forests, cross streams, and even come across temples as you go about your quests.

It’s like a painters pallet where colors just come alive. A beautiful world with a perfect amalgamation of resplendent weather effects, winds with dry orange leaves, and bush green hills with beautiful sunsets.

Jin Sakai, the protagonist, is an accomplished swordsman. Although, through the course of the game he learns new tricks and techniques that he executes in subsequent quests. This represents a journey. A process of development and buildup like no other game has seen before. The supporting characters, the allies, and their separate storylines and quests are a remarkable addition and fit in well with the plot.

A Perfect Title?

Ghost of Tsushima is a power-packed title. One of the most intriguing and complete games in this age of multiplayer games. While the game has mind-bending visuals, it does lag slightly when it comes to combat. The concept of stealth, which is a samurai’s specialty, could have been better implemented. However, that is almost grasping at the proverbial straws.

The game has been beautifully crafted with precision to the smallest detail. If you haven’t already, you need to get your hands on this game.
