“They Are Unanimously Roger Fans”: Denis Kudla Reveals Why Novak Djokovic Gets Booed

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is probably the most gruesome player on Tour. In the past decade, he has rewritten the history books in the men’s game. However, after all the success he has earned, he still has not managed to win support from the crowds. 

The fan base of superstars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal is far more compared to Novak Djokovic. The Swiss ace and the  Spanish star never get booed. However, the Serbian machine does manage to attract some negativity from the crowds.

The 19-time Grand Slam champions third-round opponent, Denis Kudla revealed the reason for it and stated, “Everyone respects what he does, but I think there are unanimously Roger fans in this world. I think they just maybe want him to keep that record. That’s probably one reason they cheer against him.”

Novak Djokovic lost his cool during the third round 

Yesterday, during one of the crucial points of the match involving Djokovic and Kudla, the Serb was seen screaming towards one particular end of the stands. It felt as if the five-time champion was provoked by the section.

Over the years, Federer has developed a great rapport with the fans. Wherever he travels, he is received very warmly by one and all. However, because the Serb has been breaking the Swiss stars records and inching closer to the Grand Slam tally, most of the fans don’t wish for that to happen according to the American player.

Speaking of things currently, Djokovic has moved into the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships 2021. He will be facing Chile’s, Cristian Garin. He is in red hot form this season after claiming the first couple of Grand Slam titles. It will be interesting to see how the Serb performs and copes with the crowd in the next round.
