UFC’s Dana White has pulled off the impossible in his bid to “Get some normalcy back into the country.” Last night it was announced that UFC 249 will go ahead at an undisclosed location. The event will see Tony Ferguson fight Justin Gaethje for the Interim Lightweight Championship. Dana White also told TMZ that Joe Rogan will be at the event.

White confirms Joe Rogan will call fights at UFC 249

The revelation hands a boost to the troubled event, as it means that the veteran commentator will provide a lift to the event that will go ahead with a raucous audience.

White said, “He did not say that you can’t listen to anything the media says. Nobody talked to him, they heard him talking on a podcast. You know what I mean, so they start writing stories of a podcast, that are full of s***. Rogan will be there.”

White has had issues with the media speculations regarding the event towards the end of March. He even gave the media a one-finger salute, saying he doesn’t give a f*** after losing his cool over constant questions. Recently, he described the UFC correspondents as “Weakest and Wimpiest.”

The UFC 249 card is packed with huge fights. Besides the main event between Ferguson and Gaethje, the main card will also see Rose Namajunas vs Jessica Andrade in the Women’s Strawweight fight. The preliminary card on ESPN will see Francis Ngannou fight Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Their fight was moved from the canceled UFC Fight Night at Columbus.

The organization will reveal the location in due time. Fans speculate that White has managed to secure an island off the West Coast. To conclude, all that we know is that White has done what he said he would do. He added that all the fighters, judges, referees and production staff will be tested regularly to ensure that fully healthy people are at the location.
