Among Us is a game that doesn’t require fast reflexes, recoil control, aiming, solving puzzles, etc. Then how does one become better at the game? Players have to rely on their skills to convince others, form strong alibis, and pay attention to detail.

Clash Universe recently uploaded a video compiling a list of tips and tricks for both impostors and crewmates to play the game better. Additionally, he listed all the things players should pay attention to and how it would make them better than an average player. While a lot of players might know a few of these tricks if they have played the game long enough, some of these come as a surprise.

Being an impostor in the game is much harder than being a crewmate. Firstly, the number of impostors is much less than the crewmates. Secondly, they have fewer ways to form alibis. Lastly, they don’t have the ability to do tasks. However, there still are a few ways that can help them win the game easily.

  1. If the players are playing on a map with security cameras, there is an easy way to avoid getting caught. The CCTV camera will have a red light flashing on it as soon as someone tries to access the feed. Impostors can look out for this and carry out their kills as soon as the light goes off. Stealth Mode = 100.
  2. Clicking on the animation screen that says ‘Shhhhh’ removes it and lets the players enter the game faster. Impostors can use this to their advantage and avoid other players noticing them.
  3. While faking it, impostors should avoid visible tasks. They should also make sure the timing of their task coincides with that of someone else doing a task. This way, if someone is watching them, they would see the task progress increase and won’t suspect the imposter.
  4. Impostors can also kill players while they are doing a common task or solving a crisis in a group. This way it would be harder to identify them in a crowd.
  5. Crewmates can be killed from a distance as well. Impostors don’t need to be very close to their victims. As soon as the kill button lights up, they can press it no matter how far or close the crewmate is.
  6. Impostors have a special ability that they can use to sabotage the crewmates. They can use it to introduce crises or close doors across the map. Among its various uses, impostors can use it to avoid emergency meetings as crewmates can’t call one during a crisis. Furthermore, they can close doors and use vents to get in rooms to kill crewmates.

Tips for Crewmates

Crewmates have a much easier job in the game as compared to impostors. Their objective is to vote out the impostors or finish their tasks before the impostors kill all of them. Therefore, in order to win, they need to avoid being killed or voted out by other crewmates.

  1. Crewmates can do visible tasks such as medbay scans, shooting asteroids, or throwing out garbage in front of others. This way, once they cement their alibi, other crewmates won’t suspect them of being an impostor.
  2. They can align themselves perfectly on top of other confirmed crewmates. Thus, an impostor would assume that there is only a single crewmate around and attempt a kill. Therefore, the crewmates can catch the impostor red-handed.
  3. Crewmates can also use the admin map to figure out the real-time location of others. Therefore, if the impostor takes a vent or kills another crewmate, they can easily be identified.

Keep these tricks in mind while playing Among Us to win the game easily.
