Warriors outplay Boston in the 4th

In the three games preceding Game 4, the Celtics outscored the Warriors in the 4th quarter every time. That was a big reason why Boston was 2-1 up. In Game 4, Golden State flipped the script and came away with the vital win. The Celtics scored just 3 points in the final 5 minutes of play as the Warriors outscored them 17-3 in that period. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson made some big shots down the stretch.

On top of some great defense by the Warriors, Boston made poor shot selections and it proved to be pivotal not just for the game, but maybe for the series. While the whole supporting cast of the Warriors stepped up, Draymond Green had yet another subpar game. Though Green had 8 assists to go with 4 steals and 9 rebounds, he scored just 2 points.

Green had 3 fouls in the game and his tally of fouls in the series has exceeded the number of points he has scored thus far. This is a perplexing stat for a former all-star. He was even benched by coach Steve Kerr during the final stretch when the Warriors finally pulled away from Boston.

Curry’s priceless reaction

As the Warriors were celebrating their huge win, the cameras caught a hilarious moment. Fans were quick to start the banter as well, mostly at the expense of Draymond Green.

The Warriors have won 2 games without Green playing well. That must be a cause of concern for Boston. Game 5 will be at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday.
