Sha’Carri Richardson noted, “Anytime I see anybody, I always tell them, when they say they want to be like me, I want you to be better. Very few people have had an impact like that and I’m honored that I have an impact like that to inspire others as well as they value to listen. I feel like that’s the greatest thing as well.”

Richardson was joined by her relay partner Gabby Thomas who said, “I remember growing up just seeing other female athletes before me being successful and just being empowering. It really showed me what I could do and it made me really believe in myself. It’s really important for me to also pay that forward to the generation that’s going to come after me.”
