BOC Threatens to Take Action Against the Tokyo Olympics Decision to Reprimand Their Football Players

The BOC has threatened to take action CBF after some controversial decisions at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Brazilian national football team won the gold medals at the Olympics. However, they ditched the Brazilian Olympics uniforms during the award ceremony and the celebrations.

This caused discontent to the BOC. They are looking to take action against the CBF for the aforementioned action. An issue from BOC has been released recently to let CBF know of their intentions.

The Olympic Committee of Brazil repudiates the attitude of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and the players of the football team during the awards ceremony for the men’s tournament,” said BOC’s statement.

At the moment, the committee’s energies are totally focused on maintaining the work that resulted in the best Brazilian participation in the history of the Olympics,” it said further.

For this reason, only after the end of the Games will the COB make public the measures that will be taken to preserve the rights of the Olympic Movement, other athletes and our sponsors,” the statement concluded.

Brazil Football team managed to retain their gold medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020

The Brazilian national team ensured their second consecutive Olympic gold after a triumphant outing at the Rio Olympics 2016 as well. They edged out Spain 2-1 in the finals.
