With 4.4 million followers on Instagram, Simone Biles is arguably one of the most influential Olympians on social media. While she prepares for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020, she remains active with her followers on social media.

Amidst strict restrictions due to the COVID situation in Tokyo, Biles engaged with her followers on Instagram. During that period, she received a rather personal question from a fan, to which she gave an encouraging response.

Simone Biles gives a helpful response to a fan with a serious question

With all athletes in a tight bio bubble at the Olympic Village, they find themselves with little to do apart from training. While some of them may carry out various individual activities, some of them use social media effectively.

Recently, Biles made a call out to her followers on Instagram with a simple request, “Tell me a secret – I’m bored.”?While some of them spoke about trivial issues, one of them spoke about an extremely personal secret. He said,?“I still haven’t told my dad I’m gay even though everyone else in my family knows.”

While Biles kept her composure, she replied,?“Tell him, be free, be yourself. I support you. For anyone else struggling with telling family or friends, just know I will always welcome you with open arms on my page and platforms.”

Despite the scale of the fan’s admission, Biles’ response exemplifies maturity, defying her young age of 24.

Can Biles continue her dominance at the Tokyo Olympics 2020?

Biles stunned the world with her performance at her debut Olympics in 2016 at Rio. Heading into Tokyo, she is the reigning gold medallist in floor exercise, vault, and all-around forms of the gymnastics discipline.

During the four-year cycle, she added an impressive arsenal of never-before-seen moves to increase her range. Although she’s only 24 years old, she will be a strong favorite to add to her four gold medals from Rio while increasing the USA’s medal tally substantially.
