The pressure of performing at the Olympics is immense for any athlete. Although Simone Biles is a four-time gold medalist, the events at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics showed that even the best can have a tough time on the biggest stage.

The 24-year-old surprised fans across the world during her performance in the team final with Team USA. While performing on the vault, she lost awareness of her movement in their air, narrowly escaping any serious injury.

Thereafter, Biles withdrew from the individual all-around final citing the need to recuperate mentally. Two days after this stunning turn of events, the gymnast addressed her legion of fans on social media.
