Allyson Felix’s New Sneaker Design For Tokyo to Overthrow the Male-Oriented Sneaker Companies

Allyson Michelle Felix OLY is an American track and field sprinter. Starting from 2003 to 2013, Felix specialized in the 200-meter sprint.

However, gradually progressed towards running a 400-meter sprint later in her career. In addition, her racing repertoire also spans the 100 meters, 4×100 meter relay, as well as 4×400 meter relay.

Allyson Felix’s journey in the field of athletics so far

She has had a remarkable career as an Olympian. She’s secured the first position at Olympics four times (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016). A 9-time Olympic medalist (6 golds, 3 silvers), she continues to maintain her winning streak.

Performing at Rio 2016 led her to sweep 2 golds in 4x100m and 4x400m. Along with which she also won a silver medal in 400m. Back in London in 2012, she backed 3 gold medals in 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m and came 5th in 100m.

Looking back at her performance in Beijing in 2008, she achieved a gold medal in 4x400m and a silver in 200m. Lastly, in Athens 2004 she bagged a silver medal for herself in 200m.

“I spend around two and half hours on the track every day running and another 2 hours in the weight room lifting weights with my strength coach,” says the champ, celebrating her feats.

Felix launches her shoe brand BySaysh, before Summer Olympics, 2020. 

The 6-time Olympic champion Allyson Felix has launched her own shoe brand ahead of the Tokyo Olympics this summer.

Recently, Felix announced the launch of Saysh, a brand for and by women.

While posting on Instagram, she said, “When you see me run, know that I’m not running for medals. I’m running for a change. I’m running for greater equity for each of us.

“I’m running for women. More than anything, I’m running toward a future where no woman or girl is ever told to know her place.” 

She feels that males rule the sneaker market. However, with her new brand, Allyson has provided the business world of sneakers with an alternate perspective to take into consideration.
