The image was of Tokyo Olympics lighting up at the night. NASA’s astronaut Shane Kimbrough shared it from the vantage point space station. Shane is the Commander of the NASA SpaceX Crew-2 mission of ISS.
Till now 6 lakh people have liked and the comment section is flooded with people’s reactions. An Instagram user even asked in the comment section ‘what is NASA’s favorite sport?’.
To the user’s surprise, NASA replied saying, “We love a good spacewalk! Astronauts can burn anywhere from 1,500-2500 calories between prep time and a 6.5-hour spacewalk, so they always get a gold medal from US!”
NASA astronauts sent a message in the 2016 Rio Olympics
NASA astronauts are always excited about the Olympic games. During the 2016 Rio Olympics, ISS astronauts had sent out a message for US athletes from space.
NASA shared the video on social media. Astronauts and expedition commander Jeff Williams was seen in the video wishing the US team.

Japan has been leading the medal tally and following the host nation is team USA and China. The games are not even halfway through and the USA have crossed 30 medals on the tally. While Japan, China, and ROC (Russia) have crossed 20 medals each.

However, Japan is the leader as it has 13 gold medals, whereas the USA is one gold medal behind. Tokyo Olympics 2020 is a game full of surprises, as small countries like Bermuda, Kosovo, and Tunisia are clinching gold medals.
