In the final qualifying round, Springsteen and her horse Don Juan van de Donkhoeve put up an impressive run. They put together an 80.67 second run on the 14-jump course, with just one 4 point penalty. It was an almost flawless run.

Her horse knocked down the rail on the 13th jump. None of her American teammates could qualify for the individual events either. So the Americans will look to contend for their second straight medal after winning Silver in RIo.

Springsteen was a replacement athlete in Rio didn’t compete.
