The Czech tennis player, Tomas Berdych was given a wild card for Mutua Madrid Open 2019, but soon after the reception, the 2010 Wimbledon finalist withdrew from the tournament due to his back injury. And before that, he pulled out from the Miami Open 2019 since he wasn’t sanguine about his performing to his fullest over there.

The Paris major will be embarking on in a few days time, and for the first time over the past 15 years, the Czech will be failing to mark in his presence at Roland Garros. The World Number 100, Tomas Berdych has pulled out from French Open 2019 due to his prolonging back injury. The 2010 Roland Garros semifinalist flew to Paris for the French major this year, and he resentfully stepped down from the tournament.

“I (have) had to pull out of Roland Garros,” Tomas Berdych mentioned. “I’m not 100 percent ready to play the way I want and need to be competitive on the courts I love so much. I came to Paris to test myself and I had to take a tough decision and wait another few days to fully recover and be ready for the grass season. I hate missing a Grand Slam and I love this tournament so much but I have to make sure not to further injure myself and be sure I’m ready for the grass.”

His back injury has been bothering him since the second half of the 2018 tennis season. Since the time, Tomas Berdych lost to Borna Coric in Dubai this year, he just participated in the Indian Wells 2019 during the American swing and conceded a defeat to the Spaniard, Feliciano Lopez.
