“If Rooney did join PSG he would have to get used to the fact that Zlatan scores even better goals than him”

This comment was made two seasons ago when Zlatan was talking about his love for Rooney as a footballer and how he would love to play alongside him. But even then he couldn’t resist being a little cheeky about it.

“Absolutely not, I have ordered a plane. It’s much faster”

When at Inter, Zlatan was earning a hefty paycheck and started living a lavish life. When asked about whether he was planning to buy a Porsche, his reply oozed sarcasm and served as a lesson to the reporters to not meddle with his personal life. What transpired was him buying a Porsche 918 limited edition. Good choice Zlatan.

“Nothing. She already has Zlatan.”

One thing a reporter must always keep in mind when interviewing Zlatan Ibrahimovic is that he just doesn’t like it when things go personal. He will not entertain your question in a straightforward manner at all. This one time when the reporter asked him about what he got his wife on her birthday and his reply was as fitting as Zlatan would put it.

“One thing is for sure, a World Cup without me is nothing to watch.”

This was when Sweden were knocked out of the World Cup 2014 qualifiers. Zlatan was not pleased when they lost their playoff tie vs Portugal and claimed that he would have been the only thing to watch at the World Cup finals and that his absence would take all the luster from the prestigious competition. Though not entirely true but we did miss you Zlatan.

“We’re looking for an apartment. If we dont find anything then i’ll probably just buy the hotel”

Fresh from his transfer to Paris-saint Germain in 2012 when a reporter asked him how he was finding life in Paris, Zlatan shared with him his accommodation plans for his time in Paris.

“Zlatan Doesn’t do auditions”

A promising youg teenager by the name of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was drawing the interest of many clubs when he was at Malmo. Arsenal came calling and were ready to offer him the number 9 jersey but Wenger wanted to see what he can do and asked him to give a trial. Zlatan in his autobiography said the above lines about the incident.

Reporter: Who’ll win the qualifier?

Zlatan: Only God knows

Reporter: It’s kinda hard to ask him

Zlatan: You’re talking to him now

This was just before the World Cup qualifier against Portugal. Rest is history.

“I didn’t injure you on purpose, you know that. Accuse me again, I’ll break both of your legs, and that will be on purpose”

The above comment was a retaliation to the accusations made by Zlatan’s former Ajax team-mate Rafael Van der Vaart that Zlatan was trying to injure him on purpose. This was also revealed by him in his autobiography. Do give this spectacular piece of literature a read!

“First I went left, he did too.

Then I went right, and he did too.

Then I went left again, and he went to buy a hot dog”
