Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to make a return later this year and revealed he’s been training on Instagram.
Nurmagomedov has endured a difficult few months and lost his father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov due to coronavirus.
Many felt Nurmagomedov wouldn’t fight thiyear, however, the “eagle” has squashed such rumors and revealed he will defend his title.

Dana White also said he would give the lightweight champion enough time to mourn for the tragic loss.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to defend his title in October
Nurmagomedov was set to face Tony Ferguson back in April, however, the fight was canceled for the 5th time. Nurmagomedov was unable to travel out of Russia due to the lockdown and with his father’s health deteriorating he chose to pull out.
Justin Gaethje stepped in on short notice and put on a stellar performance against Ferguson. El Cucuy was the favorite heading into the fight, however, Gaethje took control from round 1 and secured the win in round 5.

Nurmagomedov last fought in September of 2019, where he defended his belt against Dustin Poirier.
The eagle had hoped for a fight against Justin in July, however, this has been pushed back.
Khabib’s last fight is his most memorable one, as his father was by his side for the first time. Abdulmanap was able to witness his son defend his title for the 2nd time in Abu Dhabi.

The UFC has revealed Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje is set for October 24th. This fight will certainly be Justin Gaethje’s biggest test.
The eagle has lost only one round in his career and has dominated most of his opponents, including the retired Conor McGregor.
However, Gaethje’s ground game is solid, and his striking skills are second to none.
