Gary Medel, a recent Copa America winner with Chile’s triumph in the competition, is reportedly keen on sealing a move to Liverpool this summer.
Currently with Inter Milan, he is now looking for a return to the Premier League with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers also hoping to add some a quality defensive midfielder in the coming weeks.
He is an ill-tempered player who lacks discipline, and the same was visible during his spell at Cardiff. The Chilean is a tough tackling midfielder and could add real substance & strength to Liverpool’s midfield. With Henderson alongside him, he can offer protection to Liverpool’s back line and can hold the ball up well. Medel had an average season with Inter Milan last year, but stood out for Chile during the Copa America.
Media reports suggest that Medel is ready to accept any offer to play in the Premier League and Liverpool are also looking to place a bid of around 11 million GBP.
