It was the final of the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and the match between Ashleigh Barty against Karolina Pliskova was a thriller. The match went on for close to two hours and was won by the Australian star, 6-3 6-7(4) 6-3. 

In the opening set, Ashleigh Barty opened proceedings. The Australian player began on a strong note, breaking her opponent in her first three service games. Within no time, the score was 5-1 in favor of Barty. Eventually, she sealed the set 6-3 in 29 minutes. 

In the following set, Karolina Pliskova and her opponent were going toe-to-toe against each other. They broke each other twice during the set but the winner of it had to decide in a tiebreaker. It was the Czech player who won the tiebreaker, thus the set 7-6(4).

The winner of the final had to be found out by playing the ultimate deciding set. Barty got the break early on and it was enough for her to seal the set and match in her favor.
