Week 13 of the NFL season is over. All 32 NFL teams played this week, and it caused quite the shift in the NFL draft order, particularly at the top. With five teams – the Titans, Giants, Saints, Raiders and Cardinals – officially eliminated from the playoffs and others getting close, many teams and fanbases are beginning to shift their focus to the 2026 NFL Draft in April.

Today, I’ve gone through and mocked the first 10 picks of the 2026 NFL Draft post Week 13, to give fans of teams who are headed towards playoff elimination something to look forward to.

1. Tennessee Titans (1-11)
Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
Arvell Reese has put himself in the discussion for the No. 1 overall pick. He’s a do-it-all linebacker that can rush the passer, defend the run and get after the quarterback. He will step in and make an immediate impact on day one, and with the Tennessee Titans already having their quarterback of the future (Cam Ward) in place, adding a weapon to their defense makes a ton of sense. I do think they’d entertain a trade down, but I have them securing the best player in the draft in this mock.
Stats: 61 tackles, 31 run stops, 23 pressures, 6.5 sacks, 2 PBUs

2. TRADE: Cleveland Browns via New York Giants (2-11)
Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

I’ve usually opted for the Jets trading up for a quarterback, but this week I’m going with the Browns. Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel are both obviously not the future of this franchise, and with just $9.9-million in cap space next season, drafting a quarterback is the easiest way forward for Cleveland. Add on the fact that they have an extra first from their trade with Jacksonville last year, and it’s easy to see the Browns jumping a few spots for their preferred option.
Fernando Mendoza has been the consensus QB1 for quite a while now. He’s playing very well and is leading the No. 2 team in the nation. I’m still not completely sold on him or any other quarterback in this class, but QB-needy teams will always take one early, so expect Mendoza to come off the board in the top five.

Stats: 72.0 percent completion, 2,758 passing yards, 243 rushing yards, 38 total touchdowns, 5 INT
3. New Orleans Saints (2-10)
Rueben Bain Jr., DE, Miami

With Arvell Reese off the board, the New Orleans Saints pivot to the best edge rusher in the draft, Rueben Bain Jr. The Miami Hurricane is arguably the best players in the entire draft. Despite facing double teams pretty much every play, he has been able to be one of the most efficient pass rushers in all of college football with the eighth-best pass rush grade (91.9) and fourth-best pass rush win rate (23.9 percent) in the nation.
With Chase Young on the roster and playing well, adding Bain to the mix would give the Saints one of the best pass rush duos in the NFC. They’d both be under 27 years old at the start of next season too, so that’s a massive plus.
Stats: 57 pressures, 4.5 sacks, 23.9 percent pass rush win rate
4. Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)
Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Carnell Tate has been a big playmaker for the Ohio State Buckeyes all year long, but it feels like in the past month and a half, he’s really started to blossom. Over his last five games, Tate is averaging 5.8 receptions, 108.2 yards and 1.0 touchdowns per game. He has ideal size at 6-foot-3, elite speed, great hands and has production to match. Jordyn Tyson has been my WR1 all year, but Tate deserves to be in the discussion as well. The Las Vegas Raiders have a massive need at receiver, so they use another top-10 pick on an offensive playmaker this year.
Stats: 44 catches, 793 yards, 8 TD
5. New York Giants via Cleveland Browns (3-9)
Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
For the third time in the top-five picks, an Ohio State Buckeye flies off the board. I’ve been a big proponent of the New York Giants taking an offensive tackle, but with their trade with Cleveland, I have them acquiring Jacksonville’s first and using one there. Here, they get a guy whose ceiling is a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Caleb Downs might be the best player in this draft class and has been a superstar ever since he stepped on the field as a true freshman. He just plays a position that not many teams spend first-rounders on. He’s great in coverage in both the slot and deep, and he’s been pretty good in run support. Easy pick for the Giants here.
Stats: 52 tackles, 34 solo, 136 yards allowed, 29 run stops, 2 INT
6. Washington Commanders (3-9)
David Bailey, DE, Texas Tech

David Bailey has been shooting up draft boards recently. He’s been one of the main reasons this Texas Tech defense has been able to make such a turnaround in just one offseason. In 12 games, Bailey has logged 70 pressures, 39 hurries and 12 sacks. He was productive in his three years at Stanford, but he has really emerged as one of the best pass rushers in the country in Lubbock. And with Texas Tech likely heading to the playoffs, he’ll get even more opportunities to show off in front of NFL scouts.
The Washington Commanders have a ton of needs, but edge rusher should be towards the top of their list. Having someone who can consistently get after the passer can be a game-changer, so I think Washington goes with Bailey here.
Stats: 70 pressures, 39 hurries, 12 sacks
7. New York Jets (3-9)
Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
I’ve been mocking a quarterback to the Jets for weeks, but with Mendoza gone, I think they may punt to 2027 and take the two best players available with their two firsts this year. In my opinion, the BPA at this point is Peter Woods. I know his stats might not blow you away, but he can line up on the outside and inside, and can defend both the run and pass. With Quinnen Williams gone, the Jets find his replacement with the No. 7 pick.
Stats: 21 run stops, 15 pressures, 2 sacks
8. Arizona Cardinals (3-9)
Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

Spencer Fano is my OT1 in this draft. I personally think he should go higher than No. 8, but the consensus seems to be lower on him than I am, so he may slide a bit. He’s been nothing but productive at Utah, having allowed just five pressures and zero sacks this season, and now he goes to an Arizona team that really needs help at right tackle. He’s a day one starter for the Cardinals.
Stats: 382 pass block snaps, 5 pressures, 0 sacks
9. Los Angeles Rams via Atlanta Falcons (4-8)
Jeremiah Love, RB, Notre Dame
I’m going to have some fun here and say the Los Angeles Rams, who own the Falcons’ first-round pick, select Jeremiah Love at No. 9. The Rams might win the Super Bowl, and they should still end up with a top-10 pick, so why not go out and get one of the best players in the draft who slips because of positional value? When you have an elite roster AND another first later in the draft, you can afford to make a move like this. Just imagine Love in this Rams offense, too. That would be very, very fun.
Stats: 199 carries, 1,372 rushing yards (6.9 average), 18 rushing touchdowns, 280 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns
10. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)
Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

It’s about time the Cincinnati Bengals use a prime draft pick on an offensive lineman. Joe Burrow’s injury this year should really hammer home the fact that they need to protect him while he’s in his prime. Burrow is 8-0 in his last eight starts. Without him this year, the Bengals went 1-8. That tells you all you need to know about how valuable Burrow is to this team. They need to keep him upright, so they go with the second-best tackle in the class, Francis Mauigoa.
Stats: 414 pass blocking snaps, 9 pressures, 2 sacks
