Twitch has a long history of permanently banning some of its content creators because it is very serious about its community standards. Let alone prominent streamers like Dr Disrespect, Twitch has also temporarily banned president Donald Trump’s campaign account. It is no surprise that Twitch is adamant about its decisions; however, a former Fortnite streamer was able to regain Twitch’s trust.

Why did Twitch ban Dellor?

Matthew R. Vaughn, better known as Dellor, is an American streamer who primarily plays Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite. Following a permanent ban on Twitch on October 1, 2019, Dellor had started streaming on YouTube. He was a big name on Twitch and also had good records in multiple games.

Before making a major shift to Fortnite, Matt had the most kills in PUBG (Player Unknown Battlegrounds). He was top 250 in Overwatch, top 20 in World of Warcraft, and was in top 10 in Diablo 3.

Dellor definitely is a delight to watch because he is very good at gaming. His gaming IQ is brilliant across many games and of course, his reflexes are just on point. Despite being so good, Dellor’s rage always works against him. On multiple occasions, he had violated Twitch’s guidelines for hate speech and was temporarily banned from the platform. Things got really tense when Dellor, after dying in a game, struck himself with his keyboard on a live stream.

The streamer apologized for his actions and also uploaded an apology video:

Consequently, Twitch banned him permanently for self-harm while streaming. Since then, Dellor has been streaming and uploading content on YouTube and has amassed over 700,000 subscribers.

Dellor reacts to his Twitch account’s restoration

In his first year on YouTube, Dellor has received a lot of support. His first YouTube stream was a random test, but he still hit 20K viewers on it and was #1 on gaming.

Dellor still couldn’t play with his Twitch friends due to his ban, and this affected his peace for a long time.

The sudden decision to overturn the ban by Twitch is a shocker for him because he had given up all hope.

“I have been through so much and have tried so hard to improve myself and my stream and I didn’t think they saw or cared.”

Will Dellor leave YouTube now?

YouTube has been a savior for Dellor in his tough times. After Twitch, YouTube gave him the ideal platform to regain his audience and feel better about himself. Following Tweitch’s recent decision, fans are skeptical about the streamer’s next move. They don’t want Dellor to leave the platform now and most probably, he will not do so.

He will likely continue streaming and uploading on YouTube, and fortunately, will be able to play with his old Twitch friends.
