Twitter Goes Berserk After Alexander Zverev Stuns Novak Djokovic To Deny Golden Slam at Tokyo Olympics 2020

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has by far been the most dominant sports personality this season. After ending the grass season on a high note, the Serbian machine has carried a similar kind of form at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. However, after losing today’s match, he quashed his chances of winning his first Olympic gold medal.
As the match began, Novak Djokovic was in ruthless form. In the fourth game of the opening set, he broke the German for the first time in the match.
In Alexander Zverev’s following service game, he broke him again. Djokovic consolidated the break by holding serve in the next game, thus winning the set comfortably 6-1 in 38 minutes.

In the following set, the Serbian star continued his dominance. During the fifth game of the set, he sensed an opening into Zverev’s serve and got the first break of the set.
Novak Djokovic faded away during the second set
However, the German star had other plans and handed the Serb a break right back in the next game. To make matters interesting, Zverev broke Djokovic for the second time in the set. Eventually, he served it out, winning the set 6-3 in 45 minutes.
