Garbine Muguruza became the first player ever to defeat both Williams sisters in a major final, after she beat the elder one, Venus Williams in Saturday’s historic final. The match had two contrasting halves, an evenly contested first set which Venus could not seal after having 2 set points and then was never able to recover and got bagelled in the second set.
