Novak Djokovic advanced to the next round of the 2018 French Open by defeating Fernando Verdasco. It was a bit of a heated affair as, early in the second set, Verdasco seemed a bit animated about something. Djokovic won the point, breaking the Spaniard’s serve in the process, but Verdasco seemed upset about something.

Never the less, Djokovic cleaned out the rest of the match to take a straight sets victory. The Serbian former world number 1 needed 2 hours and 25 minutes to dispatch Verdasco. Later, it transpired that Verdasco was suffering from heavy blistering and that played into Novak’s hands.
