Spain’s Rafael Nadal took a straight sets victory over Dominic Thiem to win his 11th French Open. Nadal won with a score of 6-4,6-3,6-2 as Thiem struggled to keep up. In the end, Rafa stamped his authority on his favourite surface. With this victory, he has edged closer to arch-rival Roger Federer.
