Japan’s Naomi Osaka broke American hearts as she soundly defeated home favourite Serena Williams. Osaka defeated the former World number 1 in straight sets in the final of the US Open. The final score read 6-2, 6-4 in the 20th seed’s favour.

This is Osaka’s maiden Grand Slam title and Twitter was already gushing about the 20-year old
