The whole month of June has been full of surprises and shocks. Latest addition to the list of unexpected moments was popular streamer Guy “Dr DisRespect” Beahm receiving a permanent ban from Twitch.

No specific reason as to why the ban was implemented was given out. Several were of the opinion that the Doc may have received the ban because of DMCA guidelines. However, that wasn’t the case as Esports insider Rod Breslau tweeted that DMCA had no links with his ban.

Community reacts
Twitter erupted after Doc’s ban with many looking for answers. Since Twitch rolled out no updates on the reason for his ban, people were perplexed. All the community knew was that Doc had apparently violated Twitch’s guidelines. You can read some of the Twitter posts below.

Everyone is still confused as to why Dr DisRespect was banned. Even though many reported his ban, no one could actually come out and state the reason for it. Rod Breslau did further add that he has heard the reason for the ban from credible sources. However, he is reluctant to spill the beans just yet, citing the importance and sensitivity around the subject as his reason.

What could be the reason behind Dr DisRespect getting banned?
Dr DisRespect has remained largely silent, while Twitch said nothing apart from a general statement about guidelines and terms.
Twitch's statement on @drdisrespect ban: "As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”

Some users were of the opinion that Doc’s ban has something to with his wife. However, his wife did update her Status on Instagram thanking the people for their support.

Over the last few days, Twitch has been banning several of its streamers due to accusations and allegations surrounding them. Big names received the bans, and while we still do not know if Doc’s ban is anywhere related to it, we are left to wonder.
