WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was in talks with former champion Anthony Joshua for a potential bout in December. However, the fight never materialized leaving ‘The Gypsy King’ to face Derek Chisora for the third time, who he comfortably beat. Now, Fury has set his sights not on his fellow countryman but on the one who beat him.

Following his victory over Chisora, Fury was quick to call out unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the post-fight press conference. Moreover, he has now doubled down on facing the Ukrainian boxer as soon as possible.

So, I’m 20 stone.” he said

‘The Gypsy King’ seems to have moved on from the Joshua fight like he said he would. Moreover, he was not shy to take digs at his countryman which shouldn’t come as a surprise, given Fury’s showboating nature. In addition, he also thinks that another rising star could give ‘AJ’ a run for his money.

In the interview, Fury also revealed who he thinks would win in a match between Joshua and interim champion Joe Joyce. ‘The Gypsy King’ stated that Joyce would easily emerge victorious and not have any problems. However, he doesn’t think the fight will ever be booked.

I think so. I think he wipes the floor with Joshua anyway but then again, we’ll never see it,” Fury said. Notably, both Fury and Joyce are currently promoted under Frank Warren. However, Joyce has proved that he belongs at the top of the division following his victory over Fury’s teammate Joseph Parker.
