The Ubisoft Forward event gave us insight into all of the studio’s upcoming games and projects. We were also introduced to the highly anticipated Far Cry 6 trailer starring Giancarlo Esposito. The event was divided into 3 parts; the pre-show, the main event, and the post-show. Read about all the major updates from the main event below

Watch Dogs: Legion

The main event kicked off with a short film showing the story behind ‘Watch Dogs: Legion.’ The short film was followed by the trailer for Legion. The game is based in a futuristic London where a terrorist attack puts the city under lockdown. The government decides to appoint a private military outfit to bring order to the city. The outfit is led by Nigel Cass, the game’s main antagonist. There is another major villain who goes by the name of Mary Kelly, the biggest crime lord in the city.

A gameplay trailer gave us insight into the open world and character capabilities of Watch Dogs: Legion. The game releases on October 29, 2020.

Remember the boat full of cats in Assassin’s Creed Unity? Well, the devs have teased the possibility of the same being in Watchdogs Legion.

Brawlhalla

Ubisoft announced that Brawlhalla is coming to iOS and Android. The game will have a crossplay feature and has over 50 legends to play with. The game launches on August 6, 2020.

Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad

We were also shown the cinematic trailer for Tom Clancy’s Elite squad. The trailer didn’t reveal much about the gameplay or the story. There will be more news soon.

Hyper Scape

Ubisoft introduced us to the world of Hyper Scape a few days back. The futuristic battle-royale certainly made an impression. We were introduced to the backstory of Hyperscape which is a simulation-type situation created by a corporation in the year 2054. The trailer also revealed that much is to be discovered around the world of Hyper Scape and more news will follow soon. Also, the open beta is now available for download. Take a look at it here.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The event also provided updates on the upcoming AAA title Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We got a glimpse of the gameplay which was actually leaked a few days ago. The game brings a lot of new elements to the combat in the game. You play as Eivor who you can choose to be a male or a female character. The game is set to launch on November 17, 2020. Ubisoft Forward reveals Far Cry 6 trailer

The Far Cry 6 reveal was the pièce de résistance’ of the main event. There was a lot of speculation around Giancarlo Esposito being part of the franchise and we were not disappointed. We got to look at the cinematic title sequence trailer and the game’s actual trailer. Take a look at both below

The description reads as follows:

As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, dutifully at his side. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia. The game will be available on February 18th, 2021
