The world has been in a tricky position as of late, as the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been facing a major humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict. Many people, including UFC fighters, have condemned the situation in that region, showing concern for the thousands of people who have lost their lives. Conor McGregor expressed his worries for the safety of the people of Palestine as well, but, in a rare occurrence, his biggest rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, also jumped on the bandwagon.

The images and videos that have come out of Palestine are horrifying, to say the least. The humanitarian crisis has now turned into a food crisis, as people are starving for food. The internet has reacted to the scenes there, and they have been praying for the survival of the people out there, as Conor McGregor shared his concerning reaction to it in 2023. “God, please fix this situation. Horrific scenes out of this despicable war in the last few days and over the years,” he wrote on social media. “How can we, as human beings, be at conflict with one another as sickening as this? God, please I pray.”

Recently, the former double champion shared yet another message about the current food crisis, writing, “God save these people,” on social media. Much like Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, his fierce rival who’s never been on the same page with the Irishman on a lot of topics, appeared to echo the same sentiment. In a recent Instagram story, ‘The Eagle’ shared a video of a collage of the people suffering due to starvation in Palestine, which clearly showed that he’s concerned with what’s going on there.

Well, Khabib Nurmagomedov has been calling for people capable of helping the Palestinians who are suffering at the moment. In fact, ‘The Eagle’ once approached the US President to calm things down in Gaza when they first met each other at a UFC PPV. Let’s take a look at that front.

Khabib Nurmagomedov urged Donald Trump to fix the Israel-Gaza conflict

Donald Trump was thrilled to meet Khabib Nurmagomedov, as the Dagestan native stands out as his favorite fighter. He brought it up repeatedly in his recent interviews, but he likely didn’t anticipate what Nurmagomedov would say when they crossed paths at UFC 302. The president faced pressure to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza, and Trump responded with a favorable reaction.

The brief conversation that the two had was caught on camera and was shared on social media. As Khabib Nurmagomedov said, “I know you’re gonna stop all the Palestine war,” Donald Trump responded, “We’re gonna stop it. I’m gonna stop it.” Well, the problems haven’t gone away in Gaza, and the people there are in a much deeper crisis than before.

Meanwhile, it was a rare thing to see Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov on the same page. Given how heated their rivalry was, it is a surprise to witness them having the same stance on the Gaza food crisis. What was your reaction to seeing these two arch enemies echo the same sentiment?
