They call him the face of the fight game and rightfully so. Conor McGregor is the biggest attraction in the history of MMA and his estimated earnings from the upcoming fight against Donald Cerrone will solidify that notion.
In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, when asked about his new deal with UFC for his octagon return, Conor said:
“I’m happy with it. We’ve got a good deal. Very happy. Very excited to see how it unfolds, right? Like I said, this is a new setup with it, but I’m confident it’s gonna be a good and nice paycheck.”
Conor McGregor Made $50 Million For the Fight Against Khabib Nurmagomedov
When Helwani asked further about the estimated paycheck Conor will be getting for UFC 246, Conor dropped a shocking number.
“Probably in my mixed martial arts career. I’d say about, it could be, I’m estimating a good $80 million.” claimed Conor. Reportedly, Conor McGregor made around $100 million for his fight against Floyd Mayweather and $50 million for his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
For UFC 229, Conor McGregor received a paycheck of $3 million( excluding PPV and Fight bonuses). However, the PPV points do add up in the final paycheck. And Conor vs Khabib made a record-breaking sales when it comes to PPV buys.
Well, it’s safe to say that even after the loss to Khabib Nurmagoemdov the value and star attraction of Conor McGregor for UFC has not decreased a bit. And with a win over Donald Cerrone, Conor will be back on the driving seat again. He will have some huge fights ahead of him such as the rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov, the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz, the super fight with Jorge Masvidal, and the welterweight title fight with Kamaru Usman. Considering those fights are on the table, it can be assumed that the paycheck of Conor will just get bigger in his future fights.
