UFC 246: Conor McGregor’s Coach Sends a Stern Warning Ahead of the Fight

Conor McGregor makes his much-anticipated octagon return at UFC 246 against the veteran, Donald Cerrone. There have been a ton of speculations surrounding Conor McGregor going into this fight. Considering his last win came three years ago and he has only fought once in the last three years, fans are not sure of what version of Conor they are going to see against Donald Cerrone. Well, Conor’s coach, John Kavanagh puts an end to all the speculations with his recent comment on Conor’s training camp.

John Kavanagh took it to twitter to announce that the training camp for Conor McGregor is now over and they will be heading to Vegas next. John Kavanagh has always been very honest about Conor in both win and defeat. Hence if we are to take Kavanagh’s words into account we might see the best version of Conor McGregor at UFC 246. Coach Kavanagh claimed:

“Jan 1st, last heavy spar today before going to Vegas. Can honestly say this is the best I’ve seen him and I wasn’t sure that was possible to do 6 months ago. You guys are in for a real treat, I’m just glad to have a good seat! #UFC246

Can Conor McGregor Perform the Best at Welterweight?

Conor McGregor makes his welterweight return with the fight against Donald Cerrone. Before UFC 246, Conor has only a two-fight experience in the division. Though on paper, Conor looks like a favorite to win the fight Cerrone’s experience in the division might play a crucial factor during the fight.

Even if Conor McGregor seems to have undergone a body transformation for his return and has become bigger, Cerrone will have the size advantage at 170. However, the last time Conor fought at welterweight he went up against Nate Diaz and won the fight after 5 hard rounds. Hence considering Coach Kavanagh’s claims it can be assumed that Conor is likely to get the job done on his octagon return.
