Conor McGregor sends best wishes to all involved with UFC 249

The ‘Notorious’ tweeted, “Wishing all my fighting colleagues food health as they put on tonight’s show for us! Good luck and God speed men and women. From the competitors to the cleaners. Thank you all. Also Prayers up for Jacare Souza and team in making a full recovery.”

UFC 249 features a stacked eleven fight, fight card. It involves an Interim Lightweight Championship fight between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. The co-main event sees Henry Cejudo defend his Bantamweight Championship against the returning Dominick Cruz.

‘Notorious’ seems to have thrown all animosity aside and given wishes where it is due. His social media battles with ‘The Messenger’ are well documented with ‘Triple C’ not losing an opportunity to mock his grappling skills.

In addition to this, there is a Heavyweight clash between Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

While wishing the 22 fighters, ‘Notorious’ even found time to talk about the unfortunate Ronaldo Souza.

The 40-year-old fighter tested positive for the coronavirus and was subsequently pulled from the event. He already weighed in and appeared in a faceoff with Uriah Hall on Friday. However, there was an abnormally large gap between the two. In addition to this ‘Jacare’ had on a mask and gloves. He was in close proximity to Dana White, but there are no reports of the UFC President having contracted the virus.

As per Dana White, the positive test only highlights that the system the UFC has in place is working. This can go a long way in encouraging fighters to make a return when the promotion switches its base to Fight Island.
