The UFC has hosted numerous events over the years. However, this upcoming event is the first of its kind as the company will confine fighters. They will not be able to move freely to meet their entourage and will be tested every time they enter a room. This elite treatment is naturally alien to many fighters in the card, including Dominick Cruz, who shared his views on the same.

Dominick Cruz is awed by UFC’s treatment of fighters

“I feel like we’re being treated like true professionals. And everything’s put out from the hotel. Everything’s cleaned for us. Everything’s our own. We have our own sauna, our own rooms. We’re treated like royalty. I feel this is how it should be every single time, not just during corona.”

“It’s not just attention, everybody is nicer, everybody is more attentive, more kind everybody is in pure service to us. Like we’re cutting weight and like we’re dealing with a pandemic at the same time. The pandemic adds a little sprinkle of ‘we feel sorry for you’. But it should be this way every time. It really should. This is true professionalism by the UFC currently, and I’ve never felt a fight week like this in my life.”

‘The Dominator’ will seek to win the Bantamweight Championship for the third time in his career. However, standing in his way is Henry Cejudo.

The duo has been trading barbs ever since the UFC announced the fight. ‘The Messenger’ has been worried about ‘The Dominator’ showing up on May 9. However, his fears would be allayed as now he will know that his “brittle princess” is being taken care of.

In their fight on a media conference call, ‘The Dominator’ highlighted his experience and promised to expose the champion “real quick.” He also said, “I don’t have anything to prove. I’m just going to beat it out of you. You’re gonna embarrass yourself trying to fight me.

The challenger wants pre-fight treatment akin to this to become the norm.  However, based on ‘Triple C’s threats of “taking his a** out” it seems as though ‘The Dominator’ may not be able to enjoy the UFC’s professionalism yet again.
