Justin Gaethje has just been crowned the new interim UFC lightweight champion, following his victory over Tony Ferguson. Headlining at UFC 249, Gaethje stepped up at short notice to replace Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Gaethje has reached a significant milestone in his career, having shattered Ferguson’s streak of 12 consecutive wins. The fight came to an end with a fifth-round knockout. However, Gaethje is eager to move onto his next challenge, that is, the UFC lightweight champion, Khabib.
