Henry Cejudo says he is the reason Jose Aldo shot has a title shot

In a chat with Joe Rogan on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, ‘Triple C’ said, “It’s really my fault. It’s my fault that Jose Aldo is fighting for the belt because that’s who I was originally supposed to fight with Dominick. But, this whole COVID thing happened, so Aldo was gonna fight for the title. Then it’s like you can’t do that to him, so the UFC, they stuck to their word. And they gave him the title shot. At least that’s what I think.”

Rogan goes on to talk about how all potential fights in the division excite him. I’m happy for both fights. I’d be happy if Marlon fought Petr Yan or I’d be happy if Aldo fought him.” He even adds that a Moraes- Aldo rematch would excite him. “There’s great fights in that division,” concludes Rogan.

However, ‘Triple C’ says, “The people I think that should fight for the belt are Aljamain Sterling and Petr.”

Furthermore, he questioned Yan’s credentials. “How dangerous is he? Besides Urijah what’s another big name that dude has beaten?”

He ignored the other guys which implies that he backs ‘Funk Master’ to be the new champion.

‘Funk Master’ highlighted his credentials with a superb first-round submission victory at UFC 250. The 2nd ranked Bantamweight fighter is largely expected to face the winner of the Aldo-Yan fight which is set to take place at Fight Island on July 11.
