The Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman fight may be at short notice, but fans won’t be disappointed as this isn’t just two guys slugging it out for a belt. This is because the duo has a massive feud that has been simmering for a while. The UFC capitalized on this real-life tension and Dana White revealed that they never considered another contender in Colby Covington as a replacement for UFC 251.

This gives fans a fresh fight, and the fighters aren’t disappointing even in the days leading up to the event. This is because ‘Gamebred’ is keeping the pre-fight banter alive.

As the fight was a hastily cobbled up one, both fighters missed the transportation to Abu Dhabi. This meant that the UFC had to provide private jets to both parties. The Welterweight Champion announced his departure in the form of a Tweet. He wrote, “Dana’s personal hitman is on the way to (fight island).”

Kamaru Usman will defend his 170lbs championship for the second time. In his maiden defense, he beat Colby Covington and will look to continue in the same vein as he seeks to establish a stranglehold over the division. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has promised to be all business come July 11. He vowed that he sees no face, which means all opponents will get the “same disciplinary actions as everyone else.

The champion has given a glimpse of what he will be when he walks into the Octagon. Jorge Masvidal is all set to continue social media warfare for now. Who do you think will triumph once the referee gives them the all-clear to fight?
