Former UFC welterweight title challenger Colby Covington gave a bold prediction for the main event of UFC 251.

Jorge Masvidal was supposed to fight Usman a couple of months ago. But the bout never materialized because of contract disputes. As a result, Gilbert Burns was brought in as a replacement. Unfortunately, that fight fell through as well. The UFC then turned back to Masvidal.

In a few hours from now, Jorge will finally fight for the championship. Although Masvidal has a legitimate chance of winning, his ex-best friend said otherwise. “Chaos” believes that Usman will dominate Masvidal to retain his title. Besides that, he also said that Jorge has the perfect opportunity to make excuses after losing.

“I think that ‘Judas’ Masvidal took exactly what they gave him the first time. But now he realized he was gonna get put in the doghouse if he didn’t [take] it. And also, it’s a better opportunity for him. Cuz he’s on a week’s notice. Now he’s already got built-in excuses after he gets rag-dolled by ‘Marty’ [Kamaru] on Saturday night. ‘Oh guys, I only had one week to prepare.’ “

Colby Covington believes that Jorge Masvidal is thirsty for money

Masvidal was one among many to raise his voice against the UFC. He argued for a better fighter pay. However, Colby thinks that Masvidal was only looking after himself.

“No buddy, you had about six months to prepare.  But you wanted to act like you didn’t want to fight, you wanted to stand up for all the fighters. But we know you’re nothing more than but a thirsty h* just looking to come to get a paycheck.”

Colby is confident that Usman will “ragdoll” Masvidal. He stated that Masvidal’s fans will make excuses for him after UFC 251.

“Load the house on Usman. I mean, that’s the easiest bet of all time… Everybody is gonna start making excuses for Masvidal immediately after. ‘Oh! He only had a week. Oh! This, that. He wasn’t ready.’ Get ready for all the cry babies that support ‘Judas’ Masvidal.”
