Gilbert Burns rubbishes Nate Diaz’s claims

Earlier, ‘The Stockton Slugger’ said no one will remember the duo. Also, he criticized the Kamaru Usman for not fighting “The next guy in line.” ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ lashed out at Diaz with a few hard facts. ‘Durinho’ retweeted these and proceeded to deal with Diaz himself.

He wrote, “Look this guy (Nate Diaz) 3 fights in the last 4 years! I’m going to do my 3rd fight in less than 5 months in 2020! Enough said! Just a reminder this fight will be the Champion x N1 Contender! Just do me a favor don’t blink and buy the PPV”

The top-ranked Welterweight contender had a cell phone screenshot of Sherdog.com with the numbers to support his tweet.

‘Durinho’ has been extremely active and is in with a chance of winning the Championship just eleven months after returning to fight at 170.

Diaz returned a week after Burns beat Alexey Kunchenko. However, he has competed just once after marking his comeback with a win over Anthony Pettis. Here he lost a fight for the symbolic BMF title to Jorge Masvidal.

Furthermore, Burns hit out at ‘The Stockton Slugger’ claiming that he makes more than both fighters involved in the UFC 251 title clash. Here, he suggested that Diaz thank the recently retired Conor McGregor for his earnings.

He wrote, “Another thing! U gotta say thanks to (Conor McGregor) his is the only reason u make money in your life Natan (Nate Diaz)”

Diaz is currently 15th on the list of highest-paid UFC fighters with $4.8 million from 25 fights. However, $2.07 came from his rematch against Conor McGregor at UFC 202.

Gilbert Burns has certainly done his research and fans hope he will research Usman as well and find something to break down the champion. This will hold him in good stead on July 11 as he aims to stretch his UFC unbeaten streak to 7.
