While most of the heavyweights from his era are calling it quits, JDS is still out there taking on the top-rated heavyweights. However, that still doesn’t justify his back-to-back defeats in the promotion.
That said, President Dana White seems to be vulnerable regarding JDS’ farewell. Even if it’s disheartening news, its true. Dos Santos is close to retirement.

The second round appeared similar until Rozenstruik made some adjustments to land the knockout blow. It was JDS’ third straight KO defeat following to his last two against Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou.

If not for retirement, JDS would desperately need a win in his next appearance. However, considering his recent run, it doesn’t seem that the Brazilian would be offered any of the top-gunners.
Dos Santos can still retain himself in the division against plenty of other names. If he decides to revive his failing career, there’s a rematch awaiting with Alistair Overeem or a thriller with Walt Harris.
Yet, Dana White is the man to leap the green signal, and he is not quite thrilled about this idea.
