The fight between Katlyn Chookagian and Cynthia Calvillo is yet another 125-pound scrap that will grace UFC 255’s main card. The scrap has sure-shot title implications, especially for Calvillo who’s coming off a win. Chookagian is coming off a loss and will likely have to put forth a couple of stellar performances to re-enter the title conversations. However, she holds a win over Jennifer Maia, who takes on the champion in the co-main event.
The women’s 125-pound division is overflowing with talent, and there’s no shortage of worthy fighters to challenge for gold. The divisional queen, Valentina Shevchenko has set to bar exceedingly high, and she hasn’t faced any adversity thus far. Chiefly, eyeballs will be on the flyweights who compete on Saturday night as their performances will shape the divisional landscape.

Katlyn Chookagian is a rangy striker who prefers to use her height and reach to attack from the outside. She’s shown some amount of hesitation to let her hands go once her opponent gets into pocket fighting range. This could be a fatal mistake against Cynthia Calvillo, who thrives in tight spaces and looks to suffocate her opponents.
